ACCA is a smart, global and widely accepted alternative to CA and most of the other accounting courses. - While it would take a minimum of 5 years to complete CA, students can complete end to end ACCA in 2.5 – 3 years. In case candidates obtain exemptions based on their previous academic qualification and experience, then ACCA can be completed in even lesser time
- CA passing percentage is in the range of 5-8%, whereas ACCA passing percentage (depending on the subject / level) is in the range of 45-60%
- ACCA allows complete flexibility in choosing subjects of which you want to write the exam for (by level). On the other hand CA follows a strict group system
- Most importantly, students pursuing CA are required to go through a mandatory training (Articleship) of 3 years or 2 years and 3 months (in case they opt for a 9 month industrial training). The training is not counted as experience even after the student becomes a qualified CA. On the other hand, finance and accounting experience that a student gathers anytime while pursuing ACCA (before, during or after completing the qualification) is counted as working experience. As a result students are likely to get placed faster and also have an opportunity to land themselves in better paying jobs as well.
- After completing every level of ACCA, the institute awards a certificate which holds value. For e.g. after completing the Knowledge level, a student obtains a Diploma in Accounting & Business from ACCA. In the case of CA, students receive a degree only after clearing all the exams of CA Final.

Whenever I compare ACCA and CA (I think you are talking about Indian CA), I see that CA includes more learning through repetition than ACCA.
Technically ACCA is easier than CA. CA can be considered as the best commerce qualification in India while ACCA is perceived as a universal. You can use your ACCA qualification as a passport to switch countries.

Furthermore, when considering where you want to live and work after graduating, it is important to take geography into account. If you want to pursue your career in the UK, EU, Middle East, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, for example, ACCA is likely a better choice than CA due to its wider reach and partnerships with these regions. And, If you are are intending to remain in India, pick CA.
