Let me simplify the FRM process for you so that your doubts won’t follow you around anymore. You must register yourself first and then pass the two exams in order to receive the certification. All candidates who took the FRM exam will receive emails after the results are announced, along with their quartile score, through which they can see how they performed on the exam in comparison to other candidates.
After result declaration, those who appeared for FRM part 1 exam and got passing scores are required to register themselves for FRM Part 2 exam.
You need to have at least two years of full-time professional experience in the field of financial risk management or a closely related field in order to qualify for the FRM designation. To prove this, you will have to submit a CV outlining your professional experience for verification after passing both examinations. You will receive an email from GARP with instructions on how to submit the CV for the professional experience demonstration as soon as GARP has announces the results.
One year is the minimum duration to clear FRM (assuming that you pass both examinations on your first attempt).

After that you have to submit your CV of your professional experience for verification.

In my case, it took me 1.5 years to finish the FRM because I failed to pass Part 1 on my first try. So if you pass it on your first try, it’s possible that you’ll be able to pass both parts in 6 months if you give both of them together in one attempt.

So, stay focused, stay determined, and trust the process.

Guys, as I have finished my FRM, I guess I can tell you the answer to this. So, in essence, you must first go to the GARP website. You will have the option to sign up for both the Part 1 and Part 2 exams either individually or simultaneously in GARP. I simply signed up for the first part of the exam. After passing the Part 1 test, pass the FRM Part 2 exam.

After passing the FRM Part 1 exams, you must work in a certain industry because the FRM requires two years of professional experience.

Let us now consider the time span. Since I was working and studying at the same time, it took me a year to finish Part 2. I started working for an insurance company shortly after passing the Part 1 exam, and I spent two years there.

In total, it took me 2.5 years to finish it. This completely varies from person to person. I finished it in 2.5 years, but you might need longer or you might be able to finish in my time frame.

    Thank You!

    Hello friends!!

To enroll in FRM you must follow the steps given below:

    • By Visiting the GARP website, a person can register and book a time slot for the Part 1 exam.
    • The next stage is for the student to pass the part one exam and, once they are confident, sign up for the part two exam.
    • In order to proceed to the third phase, you must have two years of work experience in a relevant field, such as portfolio management, risk consulting, trading, market research, etc.

After this is done, all candidates who took part in and passed both parts—Part 1 and Part 2—will need to demonstrate their professional experience while outlining the position they had in financial risk management. After you submit your work experience, GARP will register it and accredit you as a financial risk manager.

This course includes only two parts and can be finished within a year, but as this course requires work experience, the duration to complete FRM may range from 2 to 2.5 years.

One thing you must do to crack the exam is the preparations. For that, the candidates can join any institute of their favour or can prepare by themselves.
    All the best!
