In my experience, many of my friends who prepared for more than 6 months have successfully completed part 1 and 2 together. So, sure, with 6+ months of preparation, it is definitely doable to pass both parts.
Depending on your academic and professional experience, this should take 300 –400 hours for each level. Therefore, between 600 and 800 hours for FRM Parts 1 and 2. And revision takes another 100 hours for every Part.
So for both levels, roughly 700-900 hours. With 4-5 hours of study per day up until the exam day, it is therefore definitely possible to prepare for both levels in 6-7 months.

Since I graduated from a B-School with a finance MBA, I already had some expertise in risk and statistics. That was very helpful. I took numerous Mock Exams to gain a feel for the test. It’s challenging to maintain concentration throughout a 4-hour exam. I did a really good job of juggling my work and studies. I dedicated at least three hours every day to study time.
