The fundamental level is easier than the other levels.
At the skill level, AA and PM seem to be particularly challenging for many students. However, if we consider the professional level as well, it seems that AAA and APM are even more difficult than AA or PM. These papers incorporate significantly more complex concepts within a wider range of topics.

Part 1 – Knowledge level is the easiest level given it has a 100% MCQ based exam pattern. Skill level (SL) has 40% subjective questions and Professional Level (PL) has 100% subjective questions, as a result they need more discussion and practice. As a result, the level of conceptual clarity and ability to apply them to real life situations increases with every level. Out of all the 3 levels, PL is considered to be relatively more demanding and would require a student to put in more efforts.
Part 2 – The pass percentage of subjects within SL and PL varies from 45-65% depending on the knowledge students possess, understanding they have been able to build and the way they use it in the respective subject based exams. Generally, Audit, Taxation and Performance Management is considered to be tough as compared to the other subjects.
