Schweser: Old player in the game. They’ve got their notes down pat, and it’s a bit more concise. But their practice exams? Eh, could be better. However, their QBank is pretty good for building concepts.
GARP’s official books: The OG source! It’s detailed and, well, official. But let’s be honest, reading through them can sometimes feel like you’re slogging through War and Peace. Good reference, but maybe not your primary study tool.
So, bottom line, if you’re the self-study, grind-it-out type, Quintedge’s your best bud. If you’re more into structured, to-the-point stuff, Schweser might be your jam. And always keep GARP’s material as a reference.

It was truly worthwhile to take Quintedge’s FRM Part 1 course. All topics were well covered, and examples of how they were used in the actual job helped make the learning relevant. I would strongly suggest this institute because the entire 150+ hours of video lectures were incredibly useful in clarifying my concepts.

When I began my journey, I signed up with Quintedge for both FRM levels. After passing the FRM Part 1 exam, I started working for a company, and it became too tough for me to balance my study time after that. So I used to watch videos on the quants when I was on the metro. I watched videos, and once I got home, I quickly went over what I observed there.

Regarding the FRM Part 1 exam preparation, they have a tonne of videos and other resources available. The best aspect of the course preparation has been conceptual clarity, paired with the instructor’s expertise and suggestions. It was fairly simple to finish the course because there were plenty of notes and question banks available, along with the recorded videos on the portal.

I’ve never taken an online course in this style before, but it was quite useful.
The live session was participatory, and people asked questions all throughout it. In the live class itself, problem-solving was conducted. We were also given recorded videos, which allowed us to review the material if necessary.
Whatever course you are pursuing, having the right foundation makes things incredibly straightforward. Quintedge was my go-to resource for acquiring a firm conceptual grasp and supporting me in passing my FRM exams.
Overall, I had a great experience!
