I researched a lot, but it all went to vain, and then I decided to take demo classes, which was quite a good decision. Finding teachers for CA Inter Group 1 is easy, and many people talk about it, but what is not easy is finding good teachers for Group 2. Honestly, If you have already completed B.com, you can do self-study easily because you must have studied costing, tax, and finance in Bcom.
If not, it is highly recommended that you take classes from a teacher either online or face to face. It is actually challenging to do self-study and understand the concepts of these subjects without a teacher’s help though it is not impossible.
If you are studying Costing for the first time, it will take at least 180 hours to 200 hours to self-study and understand the concepts. It means daily if you study for 3 hours a day, it may take at least 60 to 70 days.
However, that is only possible if you have a lot of time, and if by any chance you do have time, you can go for self-study by referring to the tulsian book. This is the finest reference book, especially for doing self-study. Nevertheless, remember, the book is very vast.
Concluding it with the fact that if you are from the CA foundation, you better take coaching from a good teacher instead of self-study and prepare from ICAI study resources like study material, rtps, MTPs, and previous year exam questions. You may refer to the padukas book, which contains most of these things sufficient to crack the exams.

When it comes to coaching, there are multiple coachings where you get integrated courses of all the CA Inter subjects, but I would suggest you should not go to such coachings. Such coachings often lag in giving quality education in all papers. They may have good teachers for a few subjects but not for all.
Hence, I would say that I go to different teachers for all papers. There are many teachers with good skills. Do some research, and you will indeed find them.

If you ask why coaching is essential, there is so much time for giving the exam. Why can you just self-study? I would say because we are humans and we cannot be disciplined by ourselves at all times. We may follow a routine for a few days or even a few weeks but following it religiously for years is not easy. That is one reason coaching and a coach is necessary.
Another reason is that CA Inter is an important stage for achieving your dreams, and taking it for granted will be stupid. Hence taking a class and professional guidance is the least you can do.
