Hello there! From an educational standpoint, any student, whether one who is an undergraduate or in their final year of study, is eligible to take the FRM Exams (basically no educational requirement is there). You must pass Part 1 of the FRM in order to move on to Part 2; however, both parts can be passed in a single sitting.

However, to earn the FRM designation, you must have approximately two years of professional work experience. While registering for the exam, you must have either a passport or a driver’s license.

    Hope that was useful!

But there’s one thing – you cannot directly give an exam for FRM Part II; for that, you need to qualify for Part I.

    I hope that was helpful!

The eligibility requirements for the FRM exam are fairly flexible. It does not even require the candidates to have any graduation degree. However, many candidates choose to pursue a degree in finance or another related field while preparing for the exam, and this experience can be beneficial when completing the required practical applications for the exam. To be eligible for the FRM certificate, candidates must have at least two years of relevant work experience in risk management. For those students who are preparing for their degree and the FRM, for them it is not necessary to have a  job in risk management.

Greetings to all. I followed Deepak Sir’s advice and passed the FRM exam ( RBei Classes). I’ve recently spoken with him about this issue. I’m going to quote what he told me: “There is no minimum eligibility criteria set by GARP. However, to Obtain FRM Certification, one must pass both the FRM exams, with 2 years of Full time risk-related experience.”

However, experience obtained while in school, including internships, part-time jobs etc. will not be taken into consideration. Until they have been certified, candidates are not permitted to use the FRM abbreviation after their names in any context.

To take the FRM Part 1 exam, no minimum requirements exist. You can sign up and take the exam whether you're in the tenth grade, the twelfth grade, or even the year before you graduate. Hope this helps!
