    Fintree is a place that can be completely trusted for CFA prep. I’m happy to be a part of Fintree as I pursued my CFA from there. I’ve tried a couple other classes, but I wasn’t too pleased with the methodology. The information and assistance offered by Fintree is quite nice and relevant. The discussions in the sessions are quite beneficial for understanding with regard to the current events and the concepts are conveyed in very simple terms.

    Best Wishes.

    I feel this should be a useful post.

    P. S. :- Not a review of Fintree, but a factual CFA Classes in Mumbai comparison:

    Batch size

    • Fintree, Zell 100+ ;
    • Finnacle Laukik Shah 50+ ;
    • Manish Ramuka, Rajaram Kamat < 50 ;
    • V D Shah 7 per batch

    Fees (cheapest to most expensive)

    Finnacle Laukik Shah (cheapest) < Rajaram Kamat < Fintree < Manish Ramuka < V D Shah (expensive);

    Median: ₹40k (other than highest lowest)

    Old School/ New School method:

    • Finnacle Laukik Shah: Laukik Shah was old school, Finnacle is new; after merger, co. has gotten modern with webinar based virtual learning
    • Rajaram Kamat, Manish Ramuka: PPT bullet points
    • Fintree: hybrid blend with lectures broadcasted live in Mumbai classroom from Pune
    • V D Shah: sheer old school chalk & board derivation process

    Hours

    • Finnacle Laukik Shah 250hrs, but half of it for weekend batch (effective 125) ;
    • Manish Ramuka, Rajaram Kamat weekday have 200, but again half for weekend … (effective 100) ;
    • Fintree 130hrs ;
    • V D Shah 123hrs (+ another 123hrs if complimentary repeat granted; check availability before joining due to long waitlist)

    Known for in one phrase

    • V D Shah: Very Detailed Shah
    • Manish Ramuka, Rajaram Kamat: Shortest approach
    • Fintree: Innovative Materials
    • Finnacle Laukik Shah, Zell: Passing Guarantee & 100% Placements

    Drawbacks

    • Finnacle Laukik Shah: low pass rate – Finnacle founders only teach at Surat & Mumbai Suburbs are taught by assistants of Laukik Shah as he himself has to cater to a all centres across Mumbai. He take initial lectures in each of many branches
    • Fintree: Lack of attention to Mumbai branch with live lectures streamed in an auditorium as a single professor handles both Mumbai & Pune. They follow hybrid model of physical & live
    • Rajaram Kamat: Shortcut approach; Making students travel to Thane to complete syllabus/ leaving with video taped recordings
    • Manish Ramuka: Hopping between online & offline based on what majority decide in class Similar with Zell. In fact there none of the founders teach this course now
    • V D Shah: No online option available. Lengthy waitlist, Exorbitant charges. Mocks of third party providers used. Not much of latest in-house material is developed so outsiders notes supplied. Do also make sure to pay his steep fee only if you are accommodated in a batch where he personally teaches fair bit of content.

    Social media presence

    • Zell: ten thousand reviews;
    • Fintree: million views, thousand plus reviews;
    • Finnacle Shah classes: thousands of likes on reels;
    • Rajaram, Manish Ramuka: enough quantity of likes & reviews;
    • V D Shah: no presence on any media

    Private HNI tutoring option

    • Manish Ramuka ₹2000/ hr;
    • Rajaram Kamat ₹2000/hr;
    • Fintree ₹2500/hr;
    • Finnacle’s Laukik Shah ₹3500/hr;
    • V D Shah ₹47500/day

    Taking up the online classes from Fintree would be the best decision for you if you are a working professional and have a busy schedule. You can access the class at your convenience which will surely help you to study at your pace.

    Their lectures are on point in terms of both length and teaching. The lectures are neither too lengthy and slow that one would tend to lose focus nor too short that one would not understand the concept. Their videos are of high quality and visually pleasing to watch.The lectures are really easy to comprehend and a student from non finance background can also understand the concepts easily and in depth.

He uses incredible stories to explain difficult ideas. He is not only a fantastic teacher but also a fantastic person. He consistently encourages his students to go beyond what they can do.

    Also, the most approachable coordinator is Vaibhav from the Bangalore team. He makes himself available to students at all times and gives them the necessary support.

    The instructional approach of FinTree has greatly helped me. I’m sending them a tonne of future prosperity.

    Thanks!!

    Utkarsh Jain Sir, is the founder and CEO of FinTree and one of the most well-known CFA curriculum instructors in the country. His instructional approach mixes financial theory with cutting-edge teaching techniques. He adopts a data-centric approach in his classes, enabling us to see how the theory is used in practice using data that is readily available from various important corporate players.

    The CFA coaching from FinTree is available in two formats: online and in-person. I was enrolled in Bangalore’s in-class programme. The benefit of offline, in-person classes is that you get to meet fantastic people from various backgrounds.

    Also, Vaibhav Sir is the heart and soul of FinTree Bangalore, and he holds a particular place in the hearts of all the students in Bangalore.

    The Fintree CFA course, while facing certain challenges, does have its strengths. The course’s attempt to provide a comprehensive overview of the CFA curriculum is commendable. Despite issues with coherence, the breadth of topics covered is impressive, offering a wide lens on the subject matter.

    In terms of the course materials, while they need updating, they do provide a solid foundation in several key areas. The basics are well-covered, and for those new to finance, these resources can be a good starting point.

    The instructor’s expertise is evident in the delivery of the content. While the style may sometimes lack engagement, the depth of knowledge shared is valuable. There are moments in the lectures where complex concepts are effectively broken down, making them more approachable for students.

    The online platform, despite its technical glitches, offers a range of useful features. When functioning smoothly, it provides convenient access to lectures, resources, and forums, which can enhance the learning experience.

    Also, it’s worth noting that when student support does respond, the advice and guidance offered can be quite helpful. The support team, although not as responsive as desired, does possess a good understanding of the course content and the requirements of the CFA exam.

    In summary, while the Fintree CFA course has areas that need significant improvement, particularly in structure, material updating, and student support, it also possesses strengths in its comprehensive content coverage, foundational materials, and instances of effective teaching. With some refinement and enhancement in key areas, the course has the potential to be a more robust and effective tool for CFA preparation.

    I did not like the Fintree CFA course at all. The structure seems arbitrary, making it challenging to follow a cohesive study path. The course content, which should be the backbone of any educational program, feels archaic and poorly aligned with the evolving CFA syllabus. Lectures are monotonous, failing to ignite any real interest in the topics. The online learning environment is equally frustrating, plagued by constant technical issues. But perhaps the most disheartening aspect is the lack of responsive support. Inquiries and concerns seem to vanish into a void, leaving me feeling isolated in my study journey. The investment made in this course seems increasingly unjustified given the lack of quality and support.

    I’m utterly disappointed with the Fintree CFA course. The structure of the course is a complete mess, making it hard to follow a coherent study path. Topics seem randomly thrown together without any logical progression, which is incredibly frustrating for a course that’s supposed to be preparing me for the CFA exam.

    The video lectures add to the frustration. They lack engagement and often drift off-topic, leaving me confused and disinterested. It’s a struggle to maintain focus through these drawn-out, uninteresting sessions.

    Furthermore, the study materials are a major letdown. They’re supposed to be comprehensive but end up being too superficial for any serious CFA preparation. I’ve found myself constantly seeking additional resources, which adds to the overall stress and cost.

    And when it comes to support, it’s as if they don’t care. My queries are often met with delayed responses or ignored altogether. For a course that charges a premium, this lack of support is unacceptable.

    In short, the Fintree CFA course has been a source of frustration at every turn, from its disorganized content to its lackluster support. It’s been a challenging and disheartening experience.
