Let me answer this in the simplest form possible.
When you use the phrase “is it worth it?”, it simply means should you invest in this course. And by investment it doesn’t only mean monetary investment but time & efforts investment too. So I will answer this question on the basis of these three parameters of investment.
Monetary Investment – Depending upon your prior qualification, you may invest around 2 lakh to 4 lakh in ACCA against which you can expect a relevant job giving you a salary ranging from 3 lakh to 15 lakh. This return on investment is much higher if we compare it with MBA in general.
Time Investment – Again depending upon your prior qualification, you may claim some exemptions in ACCA. Average time frame in which this qualification can be completed ranges from 1 year to 3.5 years. This time frame is a bit longer than MBA or any other PG course but much lesser than CA.
Effort Investment – The curriculum and subjects of ACCA is quite similar to CA and we all know the passing rate of CA. But ACCA passing rate ranges from 40% to 50% due the flexible exam structure and arrangements.
So if we combine all the parameter together, then we can easily conclude that doing ACCA is worthful.
Hope this helped
