CFI Investment Banking course has some issues. The video lectures did not explain many advanced topics clearly. Some parts like Excel modelling for valuations were taught too fast without enough examples. Also the teachers did not spend time to ensure we understood concepts properly. In the discussion forum for clearing doubts also I posted many queries but got either no or unsatisfactory answers.

Having sought career transformation guidance through CFI Education’s Investment Banking Pro Degree course spanning over 6 months at significant expense, I have emerged gravely disappointed from an experience characterised by inadequate rigor and depth in content, delivery and performance benchmarking.
The course modules attempt covering end-to-end deal life cycles but the sheer pace adopted leaves students with superficial knowledge cramming at best, not intuitive comprehension of underlying financial modelling concepts. Queries raised over critical problem areas further reveal faculty struggling with insights beyond textbook boundaries – surprising given purported senior practitioner credentials.
Continuous evaluation mechanics also stand compromised with subjective MCQ tests lacking application orientation. One expects better transparency on current batch performance metrics against past year data. But student requests for diagnostic reports with granular grade consistency insights got declined citing policy constraints.
When substantial investments of time, fees and career hopes rest on coaching institute capability promises, such glaring accountability failures can severely stagnate learner trust and progression. CFI must address this urgently.
