I would highly recommend opting for coaching even for an easy subject like Costing and Management Accounts. This is because I have made the mistake of taking this subject lightly and you would guess what had happened to me. Hence in my second attempt, I took classes from Ashish Kalra sir.
I would be understating that he is by far the best teacher that I have ever studied from. He is intelligent, experienced, and is an expert in Costing. There is no teacher like him in all of India. One thing that I love about Ashish sir is that he never stresses over memorizing but he helps you clear your concepts and push you towards gaining a practical understanding.
If you wish to join his classes then you can go to IGP Classes website and contact them from there itself. His demo lectures are also available on Youtube.

I took classes from Ashish Kalra and found it to be good for meditative purposes. The lectures were more like sleeping sessions as they were too long and provide too deep knowledge which is irrelevant from exam purposes.
You can go for Purushuttam sir classes are they are exam oriented and cover syllabus as per ICAI content.

All these teachers are exceptionally good and have a great reputation in the cost. You can go to their websites and check out their courses. All of these teachers take online classes as well, so if in case you are in a city where their centers are not available, you can opt for their online classes. These are equally good as the face-to-face classes.
If you do not want to take any classes at all then self-study can work well too. And for mentorship, you can go to the youtube channel of any and all of these teachers and gain concept clarity as well.

And I am glad I made that decision. He is one of the best teachers. His classes are filled with fun and his aura is energetic. He also has 11+ years of experience and has been a loved teacher by most of his students just like me.
I would highly recommend you to join his classes and see for yourself what a gem of a teacher he is. Rahul sir runs his classes in the name of RSA (Rahul Shikha Academy) and charges a nominal fee of around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 9,000.

Costing needs a lot of conceptual clarity and not to forget that easy subjects are scoring but people usually tend to take the scoring subjects casually and that is how they are not able to score well.
So I am sure you are not willing to make this mistake. I had taken classes from Sunil Keswani sir for costing and I feel that he is a very good teacher for this particular subject. His teaching style is rather unique one and his classes are result-oriented. He teaches in a simple way but even then he is able to give his students 100% clarity of the subject.
I am saying so much about him because he has helped me clear the exam and also gave me so much knowledge that I have made up my mind on taking up Costing as a career after clearing my finals.

If you can get a F2F batch near your home then it can be of good help to you. However some people are not able to cope up with the f2f batch and feels like its rushing too much. So for them you can go for RK Mehta Sir or CA Purushottam Agarwal Sir’s video classes.
Disclaimer – I have no professional tie-up with the above mentioned faculties. Neither I have been their students. Although many of my friends have taken coaching from them and scored good marks in costing.

He is one of the very few teachers who are actually reliable and dedicated to their subjects. He has years of teaching experience, and in my opinion, he is the best that India has at this time. He has his own coaching classes, and his courses are also listed on several online learning platforms.
I would highly recommend his classes, and just for the sake of being sure, you can also check out his Youtube channel to understand his teaching style and whether or not it suits you.

You will need some guidance for better preparation & scoring well in this exam. And If I were to share my experience, I have taken classes from CA Purushottam Aggrawal. I haven’t seen or heard of a teacher with such expertise and hold on a subject. I personally feel that he is probably the best teacher for Costing in India. He started his teaching journey with face-to-face classes but to expand his spectrum, he launched his satellite classes. He has helped thousands of students, and I am one of those; hence, I recommend him as your Costing mentor.

He takes face-to-face classes in Delhi, India, and satellite classes are also available for remote learning. His classes are in the name of Purushottam Aggrawal Classes. His courses are also available on several online learning platforms. He charges somewhere around Rs.8,000 which is definitely worth the efforts he puts in teaching you.

According to me the Best Faculties is CA R.K Mehta for Costing. However some of my friends also recommended CA Ashish Kalra. But since I was satisfied with RK Sir’s demo lectures, I didn’t go to check any other teacher.

- Cost is a practical subject hence I made sure of understanding it thoroughly.
- I did not go for coaching but most of the teachers have youtube channels and I referred to those youtube channels for understanding.
- Studying from day one has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I did not make the mistake of thinking that I have a lot of time.
