The average cost for these qualifications is around 3.50-4 lac. However, if you are selected based on being a BCom graduate, you will only need to take 9 papers as 4 are exempted. Consequently, the cost might be 2.50 – 2.75 lac. The expense of coaching for ACCA in India is relatively less when compared to other countries. Hence, it is an attractive option for students looking to pursue a career in accounting.

Total cost of pursuing ACCA in India consists of two parts:
Part 1 (mandatorily payable to ACCA in GBP) – ACCA fees (for Initial Registration, Annual Subscription, Examination fees/Exemption fees)
Part 2 (Discretionary) – Training/Coaching fees for the papers at different levels
Practically, student usually takes training support as well, so I have considered total costs for doing ACCA in India.
Usually, total cost ranges from approximately INR 2 Lacs to INR 4 Lacs depending upon the exemption a student gets and the level a student joins from.
If a student joins from the Applied Knowledge Level or through FIA (Foundations in Accountancy) route, then ACCA and training fees combined comes out to approximately INR 4 Lacs, which is almost equal to the cost of doing an Indian qualification like CA, CS and CMA India.
If a student starts the ACCA qualification after B.Com/BMS/BBA etc then student gets upto 4 paper exemptions and roughly total cost for such a student comes out to approximately INR 3-3.5 Lacs.
If a student is already a CA or CMA India with 5 years of work experience, then student gets upto 9 paper exemptions and total fees for such a candidate comes out to approximately INR 2 Lacs.
For other students like CA Intermediate pass outs, with 5-6 paper exemptions, total cost roughly comes out to around INR 2.5-2.75 Lacs.
In total, if you see, qualifications such as ACCA or CA don’t require much costs, rather these require more efforts and hard work. And if you see your ROI (Return on Investment) from the qualification, it is phenomenal as you are able to recover your costs easily in 6-12 months time (from starting a job/from the completion of all the papers)
It will also save on certain other costs e.g. you need not pay for training for subjects of commerce stream as once you study qualifications like ACCA, the syllabus of those subjects get covered comprehensively.
In nutshell, effective cost of doing ACCA in India even comes out lesser than INR 2-4 Lacs mentioned above.
