However, there are always exceptions to the rule, as in my friend’s case – he was placed at PWC in an Investment banking profile shortly after completing some Financial Modeling course by Quintedge (You can check it out if you wish to)

With a CFA on your resume, you will have access to a variety of employment opportunities. Also, the majority of CFA aspirants also aim for a higher position in their same company, which requires a significant amount of effort and commitment on their part – A CFA degree can also help you achieve this. I hope I was able to convey the value of CFA to you.

Look out for investment in time, money, and effort. Also consider the opportunity cost (i.e. the next best alternative career path you could head). And then look out for the fruits you could earn after being a CFA holder.
If you get excited and curious to know and apply the topics you would study in the CFA curriculum, then go ahead with it. If you are planning to move abroad, then CFA can support you as it is a globally recognized degree. Also, whether something is worth enough depends on the skill sets you can offer after being a CFA holder and the difference between the demand and supply gap of the industry requirements, which is currently high for CFAs.

Being a Level 3 candidate myself, one thing is certain about what you’ll accomplish: confidence. I assure that having a solid understanding of economics, quants, and financial statements will be extremely helpful for getting a Job in core finance. A basic general knowledge of contemporary issues would also be helpful everywhere.
I made a wise choice in choosing CFA, and I assume that after reading my response, you will also see its value.

If you become a CFA, you will receive the highest recognition in the field of investment management. For financial-related roles, this program is well-regarded throughout the world. CFA as a course has been very popular over the past decade, especially in India.
Now Let’s look at the CFA salaries in India.
In India, a CFA charterholder with 15 years of experience in the field normally earns at least INR 50,00,000 per year. The best thing about CFA is that recognition begins at level 1 and that you can begin working while preparing for level 2.
Almost every asset class has job paths open to CFAs. There are various employment options for CFA candidates, including quantitative data analyst, Equity research, private equity, Investment banking, etc., even though the majority of them choose to start their careers as buy-side equity analysts and in portfolio management.

You will get employed only if you have skills & you are updated. It is a distance learning course so it lacks practical aspects of the on job role. It is treated like an add-on course in india. CFA is currently among the most popular finance courses. All finance enthusiasts are motivated to take up the CFA program because they know anout the benefits that would result. First off, I want to be clear that you can use your level 1 exam results to apply for jobs at companies even if you are studying for level 2. You won’t need to rely on your parents for financial support, which is a benefit. You can earn money on your own while preparing for the next level.
I started looking for jobs after passing the Level 1 exam and submitted applications on LinkedIn and Naukri.com. After looking over my resume, a boutique IB firm eventually called me regarding the analyst position. As a result, after clearing my interview, I was hired by them. CFA is quite useful because it will increase your chances of getting a Job in core finance.

Folks, I can personally vouch for the importance of this course. I’ll describe my own journey so you may understand why CFA is so crucial.
I received my MBA from a reputable college, and I was fortunate enough to get placed with a salary of 9 LPA. After a year of extremely smooth job, the company began the hiring process again. I was shocked to see that the younger candidates were receiving higher pay packages than I was, so I questioned one of my coworkers (he is a good friend) about how come they were offering him more than I was receiving even though we have the same degree and experience. Then he told me that he had completed both an MBA and a CFA, and maybe that was the reason for the extra compensation.
After that, I started preparing for CFA, passed the level 1 & 2 exams, and which ultimately helped me make a switch to a higher paying role!
I just want to say to everyone that it is now very vital to stand out a little from the crowd.
Thus, doing CFA is worthwhile!
