It is surely Ashish Kalra, sir, for FM ECO. I may sound very straightforward here, but honestly, I have not seen a teacher like him. If you get to learn from him, know that you are going to clear the exam if you attend all his classes and exhaust his material.

Ashish sir is by far one of the most qualified teachers of FM ECO in the country, and he has teaching experience of more than 25 years. Furthermore, I have seen myself that his experience is totally reflected in the way he teaches.

He has got a unique style of teaching, ample knowledge, and his witty humor while delivering lectures. What else do you need? You will find his classes in both online and offline mode, and the classes for sure are very result-oriented. So before joining, be prepared to work hard, and that too with extreme focus. Because he indeed makes his students do the best of their potential.

Trust the word of someone who has taken his classes and achieved success.

    I hope it helps.

The passing criteria for ACCA papers is same at all the 3 Levels (i.e. Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional Level).  A student needs to score 50% marks to pass any exam in ACCA qualification.

Although exam format differs from level to level, but passing criterial remains the same.  Also, all the papers are CBE (Computer Based Exams).

All 3 exams at the Applied Knowledge Level (KL) and LW (Corporate and Business Law) at Applied Skills Level (SL) are on-demand papers and consist of Objective test questions (viz. Multiple choice with single answer, Multiple choice with multiple answer, fill in the blanks and small numerical etc.) and result for the same is declared instantly.

Exams for remaining 5 papers at Applied Skills Level are held quarterly in March, June, September and December every year.  These papers consist of Objective test questions (around 60%) as well as descriptive questions (40%).  Usually, the result for these papers is declared in around 1.5 months after appearing for the exam.

Exams for all 4 Papers at Strategic Professional level are also held quarterly in March, June, September and December every year.  All these papers are descriptive and the result for all these papers is declared in around 1.5 months.

I hope the above would help you in understanding ACCA exams pattern and passing criteria better.

I do not know about the best IELTS coaching in Pune, but I am writing few pointers from my personal experience at Western Academy:

    • Audio offered for listening practice had a significant amount of malware and virus capable of crashing/infecting the device.
    • Photocopy of an actual book accessible for speaking practice (at extra cost) carries extremely blurred content that is difficult to read.
    • No batch format is followed, so one ends up seeing new faces in the class, which is a good opportunity to make friends:) but off-course not favorable in maintaining the preparation momentum.
    •  No exam-specific tricks and tactics are provided, and the trainer/institute does not appear to be prepared for it.
    • Gradually with time, the student realizes that joining Western Academy was a bad decision, and that self-preparation would have been a better choice.
    • Finally, your desire to score well will lead you to YouTube/other internet content, and you will appreciate this move.

Hence, my earnest suggestion is to study and prepare through online resources rather than wasting money and time into such institutions.

CPA is more expensive, but a CPA professional receives more salary than CA in comparison to CA, if we talk about global averages. CPA takes seven months to 1 year to complete, and CA takes 4-5 years. CPA has four exams that are not bifurcated into any sort of levels or parts, whereas CA has three different levels of exams. CPA does not require any articleship, but CA requires three years of articleship. So I find CPA better than CA as CPA is widely and globally recognized and offers more lucrative job opportunities, in a lower time frame.
