Hey guys, I believe there isn’t a better source of study material than Schweser. When compared to what Schweser offers, BT is nothing.
The questions are of the exam level difficulty, and the content is by far better. Scheweser is more methodical and exam-focused. It gives each topic the proper amount of emphasis—neither more nor less. When it comes to some topics, BT delves far too deeply, which is beneficial for understanding and knowledge but less so for exam preparation.
Decide accordingly, based on what is most convenient for you. You can also use the resources offered by GARP if you have the time and wish to carefully study all the subjects. These books are excellent as well. However, Schweser excels in terms of examination.

Dear Readers, Schweser and Bionic Turtle were both used by me in my FRM level 1 preparation. In my opinion, Bionic Turtle’s study materials and video lectures are better than Schweser when it comes to instilling information since they help you comprehend and remember difficult exam concepts so that you can use them as a qualified FRM.
The explanations in the video lectures and the examples used in the textbook are also very simple to understand. They do a great job of deconstructing practice problems, delving into ideas like asset management and portfolio management, and then demonstrating how to solve them.

I knew going into my FRM exam preparation that I would need to put in at least 300 hours of study —more than two hours every day—to pass the test. I did spare a few hours a day at first for about a week, but I was unable to keep up the pace. Ultimately, my preparation was greatly aided by the Schweser materials. I found that the examples in the book were really helpful in helping me comprehend the ideas. So if you are short on time, go for Schweser anyday!

Hi, I think the best strategy for passing the FRM Level 1 Exam is to combine Schweser Notes and Bionic Turtle questions. Both of these study guides have been helpful to me in clearing level 1 of FRM certification. I discovered Schweser’s notes to be more organized and test-focused while I studied for my exam. The notes by Schweser are really brief and to the point. At the end of each chapter, there are summaries that are useful for recaps.
The bionic turtle delves far too deeply, which is beneficial for knowledge and understanding. They give detailed notes, Excel sheets, quizzes, and educational videos that are all very beneficial. BT is less expensive than Schweser in terms of price. These books are extra sources of information.
I recommend you all use these two resources since they will be extremely helpful in helping you pass your FRM Level 1 exam.

I found Kaplan Schweser to be more than adequate for passing the examinations for both the CFA (which I passed in 2015) and the FRM (which I passed in 2013). Do complete the practice test that comes with the related books. You can also make advantage of BT to practice more questions and additional practice.

Dear students, you should keep one thing in mind: even after using BT or Schweser you still need outside assistance, such as coaching, if you want to pass your FRM Part 1. With the aid of Schweser and Quintedge, I successfully completed my FRM Part 1. My concepts weren’t properly clarified when I initially started studying Schweser, which created a lot of confusion. However, after receiving tutoring from Quintedge, my concepts began to clear.
It’s not that I didn’t get help from Schweser; rather, I got assistance from both Schweser and Quintedge because they were both my guiding stars and helped me pass my FRM.
